Name:Scratch n' Sniff

Bio
Disclaimer: This is a role-playing journal for the game Westchester X2. All the normal statements aobut such a thing go here.

Name: Logan

Code Name: Wolverine

Aliases: Patch

Age: largely irrelevant

Face/Played By: Mmmm... Hugh Jackman-y goodness...

POWERS:

Wolverine is a mutant with a number of enhancements to his physiology. Wolverine possesses heightened senses, making him capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than that of a normal human. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, and he is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden. Logan can use these enhanced senses to track anyone, with an impressive degree of success.

He possesses retractable bone claws that are housed in his forearms, they are part of his skeleton system. At will Wolverine can release these claws through his skin between the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but bleeding is quickly halted by his healing factor. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than that of normal human bone structure. This allows Wolverine to be able to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. (Note: While Wolverine possessed his adamantium skeleton, his claws were able to cut through almost any material without any fear of damage to the claws.)

Lastly, Wolverine possesses an accelerated healing factor based on his physiology. While most normal humans heal injuries over a long period of time, Wolverine's healing factor speeds up that natural process. Wolverine's natural healing has been advanced to the point where he can heal extensive injuries (such as broken limbs) in a matter of hours to days. This factor gives him a higher resistance to poisons and toxins, and he can recover from almost any injury. The more extensive the injury, the longer the healing time will be. This also gives him an increased resistance to disease, aging and toxins.

PERSONALITY:

Wolverine doesn't like to let anyone in. He plays his cards very close to his chest, even with people he considers good and trusted friends. He's gruff, blunt, and honest. He says what he means, means what he says, doesn't smile unless he truly feels it and when asked for his opinion, he declares it frankly and uncensored, without any sugar coating whatsoever. More often than not, he doesn't even wait to be asked.

He's seen a lot in his long, long life, and is difficult to shock or surprise. To those who don't know him, he may seem paranoid at times, but he's just reading signs nobody else can sense, signs he learned to pay attention to through bitter experience.

For one who seems so emotionally calloused, he does hold his trusted friends dearly and would move the earth and heavens for them, should needs be. He is very much ruled by a personal sense of honour, and his word is solid, his promises kept, and his loyalty unquestionable.

He is a supremely confident person.

HISTORY:

Logan's early life is shrouded in mystery and lost memories. He's since recovered much of it, but shares it with extremely few people, if any.

While a member of the Canadian government-sponsored team Alpha Flight, Wolverine was one of the people approached by Professor Charles Xavier to help him rescue the original five X-Men from Krakoa. He's been a member of the X-Men, on and off, ever since, and has deep and lasting ties with many of his teammates.

He's been through much: life, death, the loss and recovery of his adamantium skeleton, the loss and (sometimes) recovery of many people dear to him. And now he's back at the school, an active X-Man and helping to teach the next generation of spandex-clad lunatics.

[Additional Information]

Logan has officially quit smoking, but will indulge in a cigar every now and then, mostly to shock or annoy others, or when the situation warrants it. He doesn't tell people that the real reason he quit chain-smoking the things was because his body would purge itself of the poisons, meaning he coughed up a giant, disgusting tar ball every once in a while, which was not a pleasant experience. Especially the taste, to someone with a super-sensitive tongue.
